Reiki, Hypnotherapy, IET®
Edith
Griffin, Certified Reiki Master
Owner and co-founder, Karendyth Holistic Center
Edith Griffin,
Certified Reiki Master, received her Usui Reiki training
at the Dovestar Institute in Hooksett, New Hampshire. She
had first become aware of her strong ability to channel
healing energy in 1996, when she unexpectedly and spontaneously
began to experience waves of energy passing through her
hands during a women's healing circle. In her professional
work, she assists clients in releasing stuck energy, helps
them connect to their own innate ability to heal themselves,
and supports them in opening to the powerful healing
energy that flows to us from the source of eternal light.
In the last few years, Edith's energy channeling has expanded
to include a kind of mystical "log rolling." She
lies face down in water (in a swimming pool or pond, for
example) holding her breath but very relaxed, and her body
begins to turn gently in the water, first rocking back and
forth and then actually spinning slowly round and round,
engendering feelings of cosmic joy.
Edith is a graduate
of Swarthmore College and has been a free-lance editor for
over 25 years. She is a graduate of the Women's Spirituality
Program formerly offered at Interface in Cambridge, MA,
and is on the administrative council of the Women's
Well, a nonprofit organization offering courses for
women, in Concord, MA. She can be reached at edithreikimaster@aol.com.
She is deeply grateful for her profound experiences of the
sacred and for the opportunity to bring healing energy to
others through her Reiki practice.
Gillian Draleau, CI,
Consulting Hypnotist, Certified Hypnosis Instructor, and
Reiki Master/Teacher
"Guided to Healing"
Gillian Draleau draws on her Irish and Celtic background
to use her abilities to help others. She was born in Ireland
and lived there until moving to Massachusetts in 1985 when
she married her husband Steve. Growing up in Ireland, rich
with Celtic spirit and lore, she was deeply interested in
mind over body healing and read extensively about the many
Faith Healers that were so prolific in Ireland. As the name
"Guided to Healing" reflects, she feels that throughout
her life something has always been guiding her to holistic
healing. Gillian truly believes in the ability of each of
us to be able to help heal our selves. Her role, she believes,
is to guide people towards their goal with the skills and
knowledge that she has acquired over the past 25 years.
She is a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is
very active in her club. She has traveled extensively. These
travels and her experiences have helped enlighten her to
many different beliefs and healing, both traditional and
holistic, available to us.
Gillian is a member
of the National Guild of Hypnotists and the International
Reiki Association. She is certified as a Master Practitioner
in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), also known as "waking
hypnosis." With this additional training she is able
to use both hypnosis and NLP to help you make the permanent
changes you want. Her practice covers many areas such as
Smoking Cessation, Weight loss, Stress Reduction, eliminating
unhealthy habits (such as nail biting), overcoming fears,

Holistic Nutrition Consulting, on sabattical until September
10, and
available FOR PHONE CONSULTS ONLY thereafter: 925-838-0188
Dr.
Christine Chan was drawn to the practice of holistic health
over fifteen years ago, after natural medicine brought about
the complete healing of a debilitating, severe chronic inflammatory
joint condition she had suffered from for three years. Since
then it has been her heart's desire to help others recover
and rebuild their health. She is vividly aware of how we
can transform a state of dis-ease into a state of balance
and wellness by making the right choices to nourish our
body, mind, and spirit. She believes that "mind over
body" and "body over mind" both have relevance
when it comes to healing and wellness: When you address
issues in one area, the other simultaneously begins to improve,
because we are not compartmentalized beings but are complex,
interconnected, whole beings.
Christine adheres to the precept, "First
Do No Harm," and is careful, thorough, attentive, scientific,
and knowledgeable. Yet she is also warm-hearted and intuitive
in administering health care. She is here to guide, encourage,
and support her clients in making good nutritional and lifestyle
